Senior IT Business Analyst

About the role:
Working as part of IT Architecture team and reporting to the Manager, IT Architecture, the Senior IT Business Analyst role is a key facilitator within the organisation, providing business analyst services for the ICT strategic initiatives as well as opportunities resulting from Business as usual (BAU) cases. This position will interpret business requirements and act as the conduit between stakeholders across the College and those technical initiatives. Further to this, the role will assist as and where necessary to the enterprise architecture function in building business architecture and mapping it to application ecosystem. It is an exciting role for someone who wants to be an integral part and play a key role in opportunities that span across transformation of existing infrastructure to MS Azure in IaaS mode, updating the College Management System, simplification and modernisation of Identity Access Management, IT service management definition and build-up of service management tool, Cyber security initiatives, etc.
Skills & Experience:
To secure this role, you will need a minimum degree qualification relevant to the role coupled with 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or comparable experience working as a business analyst within the IT industry. Demonstrated experience in complex project requirements management, practical knowledge of overall IT ecosystems and integrated functions as well as a good understanding of building business processes and developing means for optimisation. Additionally, experience and understating of vendor management, participation in RFP’s, Office 365 implementations, Cloud System migration, IT service management and exposure to XaaS environments will be of benefit and highly regarded.
The successful candidate must possess excellent initiative and problem-solving skills, a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, data entry and follow-up on processes and well-developed computer literacy, with the ability and willingness to learn new systems, strong organisational and time management skills, be team orientated with the ability to work autonomously and have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Contract Term: This is a full-time, 3 year fixed-term contract position, with the potential for extension.
Salary: Band 4 - FTE $105,000 plus 10% Superannuation and 17.5% Leave Loading.
