About the Role
The Psychology subject is an elective component of the program that aims to introduce students to a broad range of psychological theories and principles that attempt to explain human behaviour, as well as the diversity of human experience in different situations and environments.
Reporting to the Subject Leader of Psychology, this position will be responsible for the delivery of the curriculum in the form of (repeat) tutorials. You will be required to deliver a set curriculum, as well as be involved in curriculum development, in the form of developing practical and engaging tutorials to complement the lecture material. The tutor will need to work independently and as a member of the psychology team.
In addition to the above, this role is also responsible for the preparation and administration of assessment, including the marking of student essays, presentations and exams, and writing student reports.
Please note, this position is a face-to-face teaching role.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role, you must have an APAC accredited tertiary qualification in Psychology and experience in teaching in Psychology at Foundation Studies, VCE or University level. Lecturing experience is desirable. PhD candidates are encouraged to apply.
Contract Type: The Psychology Teacher position is a part-time (0.5 - 0.8 FTE), fixed term position commencing 12 January 2026 to 18 June 2026. FTE is always subject to student enrolments.
Salary Range: Level B2 – C1 FTE $84,992 – $99,020 (dependent on qualifications and experience) plus 12% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading.
