Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Trinity College Theological School, founded in 1877, is an Anglican (Episcopal) Theological School that represents the diversity and inclusive character of Anglican tradition, committed to the proclamation of the gospel, the celebration of the sacraments, the life of the church, and the dynamic character of historic Christianity.
Trinity College Theological School wishes to appoint a postdoctoral research fellow to undertake a sustained research project to complement and strengthen the School’s research profile.
The incumbent must have completed a doctoral degree in theology or related discipline in the last five years and be able to demonstrate capacity for high-level research, as well as possessing good organisational skills. You will be expected to work towards publication of at least two peer-reviewed articles per year and make considerable progress towards the production of a scholarly monograph. While researchers from all theological and related disciplines are welcome to apply, the School has identified the following three areas as its research priorities with the proposed research project ideally falling within these fields:
· Interreligious/Interfaith Dialogue
· Comparative Theology
·
World Religions
The position is full-time or a minimum of 0.8 work fraction (depending on the successful candidate’s preference) for a fixed period of two (2) years. The successful candidate will be given a desk in the research room and is expected to contribute to the intellectual, liturgical, and community life of the Theological School and Trinity College more largely.
Salary Range: FTE base salary of $95,000 plus 17.5% leave loading and 11.5% superannuation.
Contract Term: Two-year appointment commencing 3 February 2025.
